Jodi Scott's School of Horsemanship receives Community Service Award

Superintendent Debbi Burdick and the Governing Board will recognize staff members, students and community members from each school/department at a Governing Board throughout the 2009 school year. Honorees are selected based on their contributions to each school site and department that represents how they help to achieve the district mission to Inspire Excellence. Each honoree will receive a recognition at a board meeting, their write-up and picture will appear on the website and in the Weekly District ENews.

This excellent team is spear heading the dream to reality of our equine science arena adjacent to HTES. Each member brings a passion for his or her love of horses to this project. Our mission is to provide all students with the opportunity to build character through hands-on-equine experiences by creating a positive and safe environment that promotes sensitivity, confidence and independence in students through communication with horses. The ability to partner horses and children to teach strength of character is truly a unique experience we know will benefit all children.
